The NeoGraft Procedure
The NeoGraft hair procedure is a one-day, outpatient procedure that requires only local anaesthesia. Most patients experience very little or no discomfort during and after surgery. The scalp area is treated with a local anaesthetic, and if needed and previously discussed with the clinician, the hair in the donor area is cut short before the procedure begins.
Patients rest can comfortably, or watch television or nap during their procedure. The extraction procedure is simple but may take some time. Using a wand powered by pneumatic pressure, the Neograft procedure usually removes the donor hair from the area of the back of the head. This is the area where the hair follicles usually remain intact if typical male pattern baldness is the problem.

For females, the hair is typically extracted from other areas of the scalp where it can safely be harvested. The surgeon will create recipient sites in the proper orientation, angle, and direction according to the hair transplantation plan.
